Itasca Construction Associates, Inc. is a full service commercial general contracting firm. We specialize in the construction of office buildings, warehouses, distribution centers, industrial / light manufacturing buildings, retail stores, shopping plazas and commercial interior finish work.

More than 80% of our business is from repeat or referred clients, which is a testament to our client-focused business values, high-quality construction standards and exceptional safety practices. We take pride in building client relationships and quality projects.

Steve League

Director, Owner

Steve has worked in construction since 1965 as a Field Engineer, Superintendent, and Project Manager. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and is a Licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida. Steve worked for our company from 1972 through 1976 and rejoined us in 1982, opening the South Florida office. Steve was named President in 1989 and served in that capacity until his retirement. He retains ownership and remains active with our company through his positions as Director and Trustee.

Joe Galinis

President, Owner

Joe is a 1986 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction. He is a LEED, AP and joined our company as an Assistant Superintendent and progressed through the project supervisory and management levels and was named President in 2015.

Patricia Graybill

Vice President, Treasure/CFO, Owner

Patti has extensive experience with finance, accounting, and information systems, having worked in these fields in South Florida since 1982. Patti is a state certified General Contractor and Qualifying Agent. She is a 1990 graduate of Florida Atlantic University having completed her course of study for a Bachelor's degree. Patti joined Itasca in 1989.

Theodore Heinke

Vice President, Owner

Ted is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and has extensive construction knowledge, previously owning a successful painting business in South Florida. He jointed our company in 2004 as an Assistant Project Manager, promoted to Project Manager and was named Vice President in 2020.

Sandra Pabon

Vice President, Owner

Sandra has her Bachelors of Construction degree from Everglades University. She joined Itasca in 2000 working her way from the Administrative department to Assistant Project Manager, promoted to Project Manager and was named Vice President in 2020.

Chase Durrett

Vice President, Owner

Chase is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder. He began his career as a builder of custom, high-end homes and renovation projects. In 2012 he joined a prominent Denver commercial developer as a project manager. Chase relocated to South Florida and joined Itasca Construction as an Assistant Project Manager in 2015 and was promoted to Project Manager in 2018 and was named Vice President in 2023.
